GAIN® Clean Fuel Expands to Support Growing Natural Gas Market

Appleton, Wis. – August 27, 2018 – GAIN® Clean Fuel/U.S. Gain, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., is pleased to announce two new hires and a promotion as part of a strategic move to support the growing demand for natural gas within the transportation sector.

Randy Richards joins GAIN® Clean Fuel as a business development manager. He will promote the adoption of CNG and RNG as alternative fuels within California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma.

“GAIN® Clean Fuel has a broad portfolio of solutions, and I look forward to providing unique and flexible agreements to our customers,” Richards says. “This includes expanding U.S. Gain’s established CNG infrastructure, providing RNG to fleets seeking emission reductions, and processing grants to offset incremental vehicle costs—strengthening the economic value proposition for fleets seeking clean fuel solutions.”

Richards has more than 25 years of sales leadership in the transportation and technology/software industries, and he has worked with leading fleets across North America.

“It’s exciting to join a company that continually strives to deliver on its vision, invests in its people, and provides its customers with innovative, cutting-edge solutions,” Richards adds. “I intend to bring the company’s core values to an audience of new customers who are looking for a better way to grow and stay relevant in today’s marketplace.”

Marci LaMantia has been hired to focus on market development throughout North America. In her role, LaMantia will identify progressive companies looking to either adopt or expand the use of alternative fuels. She will educate fleets on the benefits alternative fuels bring to their financial and sustainability goals.

Marci brings more than 20 years of experience within the natural gas vehicle (NGV) market, most recently holding account executive and market development positions with Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas). During Marci’s tenure, she was responsible for the significant growth of CNG infrastructure and NGV adoption from leading school districts, transit authorities, and municipal fleets in Southern California.

“I look forward to sharing many business experiences and successes with GAIN® Clean Fuel customers,” LaMantia says. “My intent is to elevate our market participation and assist in growing new infrastructure nationwide.”

To continuously provide industry-leading customer support, GAIN® Clean Fuel is proud to promote Sara Wiegert to its national account manager. She will be responsible for creating outstanding experiences for the company’s customers. Wiegert will work closely with the business development managers on growth and relationship management within GAIN® Clean Fuel’s customer base, further allowing the team to focus on new customer acquisition. Sara brings a strong supply chain, project management, and customer service background to the team.

“I’m passionate about the satisfaction of our customers and am excited to find efficiencies throughout their alternative fuel journey,” Wiegert says. “Ultimately, I want fleets to be proud of their decision to transition to NGVs as well as partner with GAIN® Clean Fuel.”

“Expanding our sales team is a strategic decision that brings a broader set of industry knowledge and connections,” says Scott Hanstedt, director of sales for GAIN® Clean Fuel. “We’re well-positioned to be the fuel provider of choice for fleets seeking emission reductions and economic savings.”
