The Problem: Our Air is Unhealthy to Breathe
Nearly 40% of Americans are exposed to air with unhealthful levels of ozone or particle pollution. Breathing that air elevates the risk of asthma, lung cancer and heart disease. That’s 4 out of every 10 Americans. (Source: NGVA, American Lung Association State of the Air 2018)
Transportation is a significant contributor to air quality. Heavy-duty vehicles total 7% of all vehicles on America’s roadways, but generate upwards of 50% of all smog-precursor emissions and 20% of all transportation-related greenhouse gases. Types of Natural Gas

Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)
Recoverable natural gas is found beneath the earth’s surface, compressed to less than 1% of its volume at standard atmospheric pressure, forming the alternative fuel known as CNG. North America has an abundance of established natural gas supply and thanks to technological innovation, supply is continuously expanding.

Renewable Natural Gas (RNG)
RNG is the cleanest alternative fuel, even as compared to electric vehicle technology. Made by capturing, cleaning, and conditioning methane from landfills, agricultural facilities and wastewater treatment plants – RNG offers unbeatable emission qualities that can dramatically improve a fleet’s carbon footprint.

For Drivers
For Communities
Natural gas offers the fastest path to reducing heavy-duty transportation-related emissions. Innovative engine technology runs significantly quieter than traditional diesel engines – improving nuisance noise for communities and wildlife. Using the abundant, domestic supply increases job creation and boosts local economies. Together – these natural gas benefits improve air conditions and overall quality of life – now and for years to come.
For Companies & Fleets
Natural gas is an established alternative fuel, widely adopted by progressive fleets throughout the world. Engine technology is clean, proven and capable for up to class 8 vehicles. Infrastructure is developed, with over 1,200 stations and growing. Governments realize the impact natural gas vehicles can provide and have therefore allocated funding to expedite adoption. Not only are there numerous natural gas benefits, but this solution is the easy alternative fuel to satisfy emission reduction targets.
For Drivers
You can feel good about the natural gas benefits you’re helping bring to the communities you serve. Natural gas provides you the opportunity to make a difference through engines that reduce emissions and improve air quality. You are literally driving change. You’ll also appreciate the odorless, colorless characteristics of natural gas, eliminating any smells from fueling or maintaining the vehicle.
